INSS 400 - Introduction to Information Systems

3 Credits

500 Prerequisite(s): None This course is designed to prepare the student to successfully enter and complete the MIS Master’s program. The course will cover basic computer and information concepts, including general computer literacy, computer programming, and information concepts appropriate for the MIS professional. In addition, the fundamental statistical concepts necessary for professional information systems work will be reviewed. Emphasis will be placed on hands-on laboratory work that will acquaint the student with various software packages and hardware platforms.
