INSS 530 - Information Systems in Organizations3 Credits
530 Prerequisite(s): INSS 515 or consent of the Instructor This course will introduce basic management information systems concepts and examine the fundamental types of information systems. Personal, work group and enterprise information systems will be discussed. The challenge and use of information to gain competitive advantage will be examined. Other topics to be discussed include: the economics of information use of valued added concepts to evaluate information system effectiveness, and the application of system theory to information system architecture.
