INSS 615 - Knowledge Management Systems

715 Prerequisite(s): INSS 550 This course examines and explores the foundations of successful Knowledge Management programs, including concepts such as centralized versus decentralized organizational structures, collaborative environments, enterprise engineering, decision support systems, and the use of technology to build a knowledge infrastructure. Each area will be presented through in-depth studies of the issues involved and the current state-of-the-art practices and tools. Advanced programming techniques for artificial intelligence and their relationship both to the foundational issues and to the most important application areas for Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) are studied.
