INSS 635 - Information Systems Security

735 Prerequisite(s): INSS 515, 530 or consent of Instructor This course explores security policies, policies, models, and mechanics for secrecy, integrity, and availability. Topics include operating systems models and mechanisms for mandatory and discretionary controls; data models, concepts, and mechanisms for database security; basic cryptography and its applications; security in computer networks and distributed systems; as well as control and prevention of viruses and other malicious programs.
