INSS 640 - Advanced Object-Oriented Analysis and Design3 Credits
740 Prerequisite(s): INSS 540 In-depth study of the principles and applications of object-oriented methods in information systems. The course examines a variety of languages and design methods used for class construction. Higher-level tools for system construction are considered. Applications are investigated through program construction and case studies in varied settings, such as database systems, graphical user interfaces, knowledge-based systems, simulations, and prototyping. The course offers step-by-step guidelines for exploiting the benefits of object-oriented analysis and design, using running program examples to compare traditional and object-oriented approaches.
