CTEC 641 - Internet Technologies Discovery

3 Credits (Fall, Spring)
Prerequisite(s): CTEC 335, CTEC 230 and CTEC 345 This course teaches students to identify, collect, and preserve electronically stored information (ESI) and data from a range of internet of things (IoT) devices, such as smartwatches, medical devices, vehicles, doorbells, Amazon (Alexa, Dash, Alexa Echo Plus), home mesh wi-fi systems, and cellular-based IoT devices. Students participate in hands-on laboratory experience that focuses on digital evidence, data recovery, and logging methods to trace back cyber-attacks.
