3 Credits (Every semester)
Prerequisite(s): PHLN 501, PHLN 510, PHLN 520, PHLN 530, PHLN 540, PHLN 500 and PUAD 630.  Considering growing attention within the field of philanthropy to racial inequities and how they play out in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, several grant makers are providing more flexible, reliable funding to people of color-led groups. This course is an advanced seminar that prepares students to grapple with ethical dilemmas in leadership roles related to philanthropy, foundations, and nonprofits. Issues of race and gender are central to discussions in this course.
