COES 795 - Public Policy, Politics, and Mental Health

This course is designed to discuss sociocultural and institutional systems influence on the counselor education and supervision profession. This course specifically examines the counselor educator role in teaching and preparing counselors in training to work with diverse populations. This course also examines advocacy to address social problems, systems of social welfare, and its interrelationships with direct practice and the delivery of services.
