ART 402 - Special Topics: Art History/Theory

3 Credits

Special Topics courses in Art History & Theory focus in depth on a select topic by thoroughly examining the art, theories, and criticism produced around that topic. Some possible topics might;include: Architecture & Politics, Art & Trauma, New Media & Internet Art, Art & Ethics, The History of Interactive and Socially Engaged Art, Art Criticism: Then & Now, Art & Aesthetics, and Art & Ideology.

Prerequisite(s): Two 300 or 400 level art history courses or instructor’s permission.
This course is an elective in the Art concentration.
