BIOL 304 - Biology of Drug Plants3 Credits
When Offered (Fall, Spring) This course is the study of biology of such plants as opium, DMT, marijuana, mescaline, psilocybin, cocaine, jimsonweed, ergot, strychnine, and digitalis; active principles and the parts used as drugs; diseases and disorders; genetic manifestations; use and misuse of drugs; and effects on human health, including the mental and social well being of man.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 102 and BIOL 105.
