CHEM 107 - General Chemistry I

When Offered (Fall, Spring)
The lecture portion of the course focuses on the fundamental principles of chemistry dealing with structure of matter, valence, gases, oxidation, equations, formation of compounds, and solution of problems. The laboratory component includes experiments in measurement principles, gravimetric analysis, physical behavior of gases and chemical reactions in solutions.

Corequisite(s): MATH 141, MATH 150, MATH 215 or MATH 225 and ENGL 101. (Lecture/Lab) Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week.
