THEA 322 - Costume Design I

This course provides students with an overview of costume design. Students learn character development, costume techniques, fundamental principles of design and design critique. This course also focuses on the influence that especially Black designers and other designers of color, seamstresses and tailors have had in theatrical productions, motion pictures and television. Students learn costume design is storytelling and an integral role in advancing a story through character development

Prerequisite(s): THEA 105 (VCDM 390 for VCDMA majors)
