COSC 499 - Gaming IV3 Credits
(Fall, Spring) Prerequisite(s): COSC 309. This game design and development capstone course involves a complete production cycle of game development, from brainstorming concepts to designing, implementing, playtesting, and evaluating a complete game. Topics include graphics, game engines, motion generation, behavioral control for autonomous characters, interaction structure, and social and interface issues of multi-user play. The course emphasizes the hands-on development of games, and students will document their work through written reports and oral presentations.
