COMM 351 - Political and Public Policy Journalism

3 Credits

When Offered Every Fall semester in even years to coincide with local, county, state, and presidential election years.
This course is a critical survey of political and public policy journalism and the role it plays in shaping American democracy. Emphasis will be placed on gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting political and public policy news across multiple digital media platforms.

Prerequisite(s): COMM 215 and COMM 216.
