ART 386 - Mold Making

When Offered Every other Fall semester
This course provides students with basic to advanced techniques for mold making and casting of both objects and the body. Press, waste, two-piece, molds using clay, plaster, and rubber are covered. Students will cast their molds with clay slip, plaster, and rubber. Trompe l’oeil, working with serial objects, and turning casts into more complex sculptures and installations will be emphasized.

Prerequisite(s): Two 200-level or higher ART courses.
