ART 403 - Special Topics (Studio)

Every Semester
Prerequisite(s): Two 200-level or higher ART or VCDM studio classes (Ex. ART 201, ART 202, ART 250, ART 251, ART 310, ART 311, ART 320, ART 351, ART 480, VCDM 321). Special Topics courses in Studio Art focus in depth on a select topic by thoroughly examining the art, theories, and criticism produced around that topic, and allowing students to produce a body of work in their chosen medium about the course topic. Some possible topics include Art and Politics, Art and Aesthetics, Art Therapy, Audience Engagement, Woodworking, Mural Painting, Commercial Photography, The Artist Book, Alternative Photographic
Processes, and Sound Art.
