COSC 489 - Ethical Hacking3 Credits
When Offered Spring Ethical hacking is an attempt to penetrate computer systems and networks to locate weaknesses and vulnerabilities that may be exploited by malicious hackers. Ethical hacking is a skill that is in high demand. Such a course will strengthen our Cybersecurity Specialization and help equip our students with the skills needed to help private businesses, public organizations, and government agencies secure systems by identifying the flaws and weaknesses within those systems.
Prerequisite(s): COSC 435.
