THEA 311 - Dramatic Literature I: Survey of Dramatic Literature from Classical Antiquity to Realism

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 101, ENGL 102, and THEA 263  This course is a survey of dramatic literature from Classical antiquity through realism. Twelve plays will be read or viewed and discussed in the context of the author’s biography, the world in which the plays were created, including social and political movements, and essential dramaturgy.
