MUSC 340 - Jazz History

Jazz History documents the cultural, social, and musical history, and some of its derivatives, of the musical form and the history surrounding it. The course presents the styles and structures of the music, itself, as well as some of the major creators and innovators that shaped the music, while exploring some of the surrounding art forms that helped create the musical form and others that came about because of the music.

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 102.
