PHSC 406 - Public Health Research

When Offered (Every Fall semester)
This course will prepare students to critically evaluate research evidence and methodologies used in public health policy making, resource allocation, and delivery systems. Students must be prepared to analyze and design practical research methodologies to evaluate contemporary public health issues. The purpose of this course is to teach students the necessary concepts and skills required for research design, implementation, data analysis, statistical testing, and results reporting. It is essential for a public health professional to be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in these areas in order to be able to conduct original research and critically review published research.
