PHSC 490 - Internship

When Offered (Every Fall semester)
This Internship provides an opportunity to synthesize, integrate, and apply the practical skills, knowledge, and training acquired throughout the program. Students are engaged in real-world projects for solving real-world problems that involve the application of public health informatics and associated issues. A semester long project is required using informatics tools for supporting public health functions and addressing related issues. Students are placed at sites independently or in a team to acquire practical experience. The internship effort is jointly supervised by a faculty member and/or a manager at the site.
