HSAM 490 - Health Services Administration Internship

7 Credits

(Every Fall semester)
Prerequisite(s): HSAM 310, HSAM 312, HSAM 400 & HSAM 402 The internship provides a hands-on educational and clinical experience with the goal of obtaining key competencies and skills required for the responsibilities in Health Services Administration. The internship provides the practical experience needed to obtain an entry-level job after graduation and usually takes place in a healthcare setting. Potential internship settings include hospitals, clinics, long- term care facilities, doctor’s offices, and international organizations engaged in global healthcare. Students will be placed in internship environments that match their academic needs and career goals.
