A minor in literature of the African diaspora consists of 18 semester hours and is designed for students who desire exposure to other cultures via the best in literary expression and seek enhancement of their analytical and writing skills.

ENGL 212 - The African American Literary Imagination 3 Credits
ENGL 324 - African American Literature I to 1926 3 Credits
ENGL 325 - African American Literature II, 1926 to the Present 3 Credits
ENGL 326 - Literature of the Caribbean 3 Credits
ENGL 300-level Elective 3 Credits (Choose from ENGL 327, ENGL 329, ENGL 330, ENGL 331, or ENGL 370)
ENGL 400-Level Elective 3 Credits (Choose from ENGL 424, ENGL 425, or ENGL 439)
