The requisite conditions for the certificate program are the same as for the MS-MIS degree program. The purpose of the certificate program is to prepare system analysts who analyze, design, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of computer systems to meet the specific needs of businesses or clients The certificate program emphasizes on the assessment of information management needs and the design of systems to meet those needs. Requirements for the certificate are fifteen (15) credit hours.

INSS 515 - Principles and Practices of Information Systems Development
INSS 530 - Information Systems in Organizations or INSS 573 - Digital Innovation & Entrepreneurship
INSS 540 - Information Systems Analysis & Design
INSS 550 - Database Management & Decision Systems
INSS 575 - Information Systems Project Management
Students who do not have a solid background in computer information systems will be required to complete INSS 405 and/or INSS 400 as prerequisite courses.
