African Diaspora Dance Minor

This twenty-one (21) credit-hour, stand-alone minor provides the student interested in acquiring knowledge and proficiency in performance aspects and scholarship surrounding diasporic dance, the opportunity to take courses in West African dance technique, hip hop dance technique, jazz dance technique, tap dance technique, focused hip hop studio courses, visual culture, African diaspora film history, and the sociology of hip hop culture.
