(Fall, Spring)
Prerequisite(s): NURS 202, NURS 205, NURS 206/207, NURS 346, And PSYCH 204 with a grade of C or better. In this course students will apply the principles of pathophysiology and pharmacology presented in PathoPharm I and the objective and subjective manifestations of diseases and conditions associated with specific body systems. Assessment findings, diagnostic testing, and interventions for specific disease/conditions are integrated with the pharmacologic treatments. Comprehension and application of relevant clinical assessments, clinical manifestations, and disease trajectories will provide a foundation for establishing physiological priorities for pharmacological treatments and nursing care. Nursing implications relative to the utilization of drug therapy are examined.
